As part of our Marketing team within the Student Experience division, you’ll be the driving force behind events that:
✔ Attract and engage future students
✔ Strengthen our brand and reputation
✔ Build meaningful connections across our campuses
From large-scale student recruitment events to corporate functions and employee engagement activities, you’ll manage the end-to-end delivery of 50+ events annually. This is your chance to showcase your creativity, project management skills, and ability to make every detail count.
This opportunity is full time, ongoing with salary aligning to PACCT 7 $$91,125.82 plus 12% superannuation.
What you’ll do:
- Plan and deliver events from start to finish, including booking venues, arranging catering, coordinating AV requirements, and managing event schedules.
- Prepare and track event budgets, ensuring costs are managed and approvals are obtained.
- Handle logistics, such as signage, promotional materials, and on-the-day setup and pack-down.
- Work closely with faculties and teams to confirm event details, speakers, and program content.
- Create engaging event experiences, from interactive activities to themed setups that make events memorable.
- Manage multiple events at once, keeping timelines on track and communicating updates to stakeholders.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors, negotiating quotes and ensuring services meet expectations.
- Collect feedback and report on event outcomes, including attendance numbers and engagement metrics.
- Ensure all events reflect BHI’s brand, using approved templates and messaging in signage and collateral.
About you:
- You are someone who loves juggling multiple events simultaneously, is process-driven, shows initiative and has exceptional attention-to-detail.
- You know how to combine your administrative skills with your creativity to deliver unique, engaging and successful event experiences.
- You enjoy building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders using your excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- You are also a team player who holds a high level of accountability and has a drive to lead and support your colleagues in their work.
- You enjoy the challenge of working with multiple stakeholders to deliver projects and can demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications and experience:
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Event Management or lesser qualifications with substantial experience in marketing and events
- Demonstrated experience in the event industry
- Exceptional organisational skills, high attention-to-detail and an eye for accuracy
- Proven experience in multi-tasking, prioritising workload and managing the planning and delivery of multiple events simultaneously
- Experience coordinating, delegating and leading on-the-ground teams at events
- High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing high-quality, accurate correspondence and reports to stakeholders
- Experience in working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve team goals
- Flexibility during peak periods, and ability to adapt to changing priorities is essential
- Victorian Working with Children Check clearance
- National Police Check clearance
- Proficiency in all MS Office applications for a range of tasks including but not limited to, generating briefings, event reports and presentations and database management
